In the vicinity of Art Hostel there are several interesting – and very varied – activities. A few are outlined below.

Experience the world of Ghosts, Elves, Trolls and Northern Lights in the “ICELANDIC WONDERS EXPERIENCE” and the “GHOST CENTRE“. This is something you don´t want to miss! it is located in the same building as the hostel.

Icelandic kayaktours (Kajakaferðir) has been in operation for 10 years and offers new ways to explore nature. There are unique lagoons of one of Iceland’s most beautiful coastlines, just west of Stokkseyri. The area consists of small and big ponds connected by narrow canals, and is the ideal surroundings for enormous numbers of birds and plants. Curious seals often follow the kayaks in the lagoons, incredibly close and completely fearless.

Rest assured, we cooperate fully with the Bird Protection Society of Iceland and the Icelandic Institute of Natural History and we ensure that this way of nature study does not upset at all the existence of animals and plants in the area.

Kayaking activities are available for all levels of ability and for short or longer duration trips.

Art Hostel is by the sea so why not taste some delicious seafood, straight from the North Atlantic Ocean! This restaurant specialises in lobster dishes and the lobster soup is to be highly recommended (as is everything else on the menu).
